{everyday beautiful life: pretty little world}

This week’s {EBL} comes from Kristen of Pretty Little World, a blogger who has been nothing but lovely to me. She’s never hesitated to help me out and was the first to blogroll me. I’m very glad to have her as part of this series.

{5 Things That Make for a Beautiful Life}

First I would like to send a big.huge “Thank you!” to Jenn for this opportunity to share a few of the things that make life beautiful!!

1. {Little Things in Nature}

There are so many amazing things that people pass by every day that are stunning and lovely. Even the intricate detail on one blossom is inspiring! This is probably why spring and summer are my favorite seasons — there’s just so much to look at whenever you leave the house! And there’s never any shortage of flowers to cut and bring inside!

2. {Fashion}

{Altamira and The Sartorialist}

This may be obvious given what I usually write about, but fashion is absolutely one of the most beautiful things a person can use/create. Every day you’ve got an opportunity to completely change the way that you feel, all depending on what you put on in the morning!

3. {My Blogger Friends…}

…all of them!! Ever since I’ve started blogging, I’ve discovered a community that’s completely blown me away. I’m always struck by the beauty of the people that I encounter — the generosity that is extended from people whom I’ve never met in person amazes me. Each day that I read everyone’s blogs is also a new opportunity for me to learn and be inspired!

4. {My Kitties}

As big of a pain as they can be sometimes (for instance, our only male cat has taken to wanting to wedge himself between a window and all of our glass spice jars), they always make me happy. I have yet to get through a day where they haven’t made me laugh.

5. {Reading & Writing}

{fieldguided}

This might sound silly, but I’m a big believer that spending a little bit of time writing in a journal or reading a book can turn your day around. Even if you can only get 10 or 15 minutes a day for this, it’s still transformative. To me this is also just proof that you don’t have to leave the house to find beautiful things — you just have to open up a book!
