{touches of glamour}

It’s the little touches here and there that make a room sensuous, glamorous, and fun.

These stairs would be pretty but plain, if it weren’t for the mirrored tiles. Just imagine how drab and dark those stairs would be without them.

The white room above has lovely panels, but the simple old tub filled with something unusual makes the room interesting. Obviously, I’m not telling you to go out and by an antique tub and stuff it with flowers and tulle. The point here is that you can make something unusual work and enhance a very plain room with just one or two items.

This is one of my favorites. I’m in love with the fabric of the headboard. However, what I really want to focus on is the grouping on the vanity. All of it could be thrifted for dirt cheap {minus the Chanel perfume}. The room could be bare with this vignette and that headboard and still look like a million bucks.

Also, don’t forget to take note of how the reflective surfaces bring extra light and add glamour in these photos. It’s something you can do even if you’re on a budget. Get smashed up mirror or tiny tiles and add them somewhere unexpected. Or get a few old mirrored trays or even the $5 mirrored panels they sell at the craft store and use them as a runner or a base to set flowers or any grouping on. Instant glam.
