If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to drop what you’re doing and watch this. No, your boss can’t get pissed at you. It’s physically and emotionally impossible for anyone to be upset within 100 ft of any screen playing this video.

My favorite color as a little girl was blue. I’m not sure how the obsession began, but I remember having a little dress my father had brought me from Colombia that was the exact shade of the ribbon in the above picture. I was obsessed with powdery blue everything and the cerulean blue crayon you could only get in the big Crayola box. I absolutely hated when anyone gave me something pink. {Goodness, did my tastes change!}

I still adore the color, in fact, my current bedroom is blue, which is probably why I like the blog, Bardot in Blue. Besides being ridiculously glamorous, there’s something so fresh and charming about the saturated hues of the images on Haleigh’s blog. {Most of which are, of course,  a little blue.}

{i heart: violets}

Oh, how I love violets. If a scent could define me, this might just be it. I grew up sprinkled with violet perfume, as do most latina baby girls. Moreover, violets are the flower of my birth month, February. The lovely, typically purple flower is said to have one of the most elusive scents. It’s hard to extract, and for a unlucky few, it’s impossible to smell.

{i heart: mrs. lilien}

Browsing through my google reader last night, this post at Design Crush caught my eye. I’ve been slacking on posting all my new blog crushes, but I figure now is as good a time as any. So, here you go! Mrs. Lilien is my newest blog crush.

Picture%207 {i heart: mrs. lilien}

Each post is based on a persona and showcases a collection of items that suit that persona. Most of the personas are titled as “Mrs”; we have Mrs. Mc Nicey, Mrs. Frost {see the collection above}, Mrs. Kitchen, and so on. Pretty cute, no?

{i heart: here comes the sun}

Like me, you probably never tire of finding pretty places to visit. Here Come the Sun is certainly not a new blog, but a definite old favorite. It’s filled with tons of pretty photos from photographers Amanda finds, etsy shops, and other random pretty bits. Definitely a great blog to browse on a Monday for an extra pick me up.

The Lost Princess is a dreamy blog with one of the loveliest layouts. It is one blog, I will likely not subscribe to in a reader, but instead will visit daily to read in the context of its lovely design. It’s a trip back to the princess days of our girlish youths, with dreamy pictures, stills from favorite films {hello, nostalgia…} and bits of writing that I can’t quite figure out how to describe but can assure you are spot on. I especially heart the quote from A Little Princess above, which the blog’s author filed under the label “promise.”
