{the little philanthropist}

This kid officially gets the Beautiful Soul Award. Seriously. AMAZING.

I hadn’t planned on blogging this weekend, but I saw this article and just had to share. Eleven years old and he’s already…

  • brought books, school supplies, hygenic products, and gameboys to needy kids in other countries
  • thrown a holiday party for the kids living in the Louisiana FEMA trailers
  • walked from Tampa to Tallahassee (280 miles) to raise awareness and $25,000 for homeless children
  • Organized 24 hour events where children imitate being homeless for a day {such a great idea}

and now…

He’s taking on the White House by walking from Atlanta to Washington D.C. to raise money and to urge the Obama administration to take more action for homeless children.

You can learn more {and make a donation} at the website for The Little Red Wagon Foundation.

{things to ponder…}
* No excuses. If an eleven year old can do this, you can do something, too!
* What act of kindness can you do, big or small, now?
* If you have kids, are you teaching them to be socially responsible?
