{touches of glamour}

It’s the little touches here and there that make a room sensuous, glamorous, and fun.

These stairs would be pretty but plain, if it weren’t for the mirrored tiles. Just imagine how drab and dark those stairs would be without them.

The white room above has lovely panels, but the simple old tub filled with something unusual makes the room interesting. Obviously, I’m not telling you to go out and by an antique tub and stuff it with flowers and tulle. The point here is that you can make something unusual work and enhance a very plain room with just one or two items.

This is one of my favorites. I’m in love with the fabric of the headboard. However, what I really want to focus on is the grouping on the vanity. All of it could be thrifted for dirt cheap {minus the Chanel perfume}. The room could be bare with this vignette and that headboard and still look like a million bucks.

Also, don’t forget to take note of how the reflective surfaces bring extra light and add glamour in these photos. It’s something you can do even if you’re on a budget. Get smashed up mirror or tiny tiles and add them somewhere unexpected. Or get a few old mirrored trays or even the $5 mirrored panels they sell at the craft store and use them as a runner or a base to set flowers or any grouping on. Instant glam.

{i heart luxirare}

I have a new blog crush. Really, it’s more than a blog crush, and when you visit Luxirare, you’ll understand why. Foodie and Fashionista, Ji Kim, the author of Luxirare is possibly one of the most creative bloggers I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t just mean the style in which she presents the content on her blog, because frankly her blog is incredibly simple. She designs some amazing clothing, photographs her incredible culinary creations, and her entire blog reflects a cohesive style. Best of all, she frequently gives instructions on how to create her beautiful edible creations.

Seriously, who makes uni at home? Who thinks of making mojito tablets with alka seltzer? Off the freakin’ chain. Do you see these pictures? Are you drooling yet?

That coat is sick. Just wait until you see the rest. {I’d like to know if I can get my hands on a luxirare original.}

Welcome to your new addiction. Enjoy.

{feel me}

And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
If it kills me…

{friday finds: shop with me?}

I’ve been a shopping mood. I spent too much last month, so I’m trying to keep my purchases on the inexpensive side. Thankfully, J.Crew had an extra 20% off yesterday, and I got to use my Gilt credit on an Edun top. Oh, then I pre-ordered the shoes mentioned in the previous post. I still haven’t had enough of a fix yet. I think I shall have to hit up TopShop and my rockstar affiliate, Mod Cloth. {You see that FTC? Full disclosure.}

Want to shop with me? Good. Let’s go.

Strata Dress

I think this dress is beyond precious and it would go amazingly well with those shoes I just got.

The Breathless Dress in Midnight
{The Breathless Dress in Midnight $117.99}

Hmm, perhaps with a leather jacket or a gray 3/4 length sleeve jacket cinched at the waist. {Or, of course, by itself.}

Layer Cake Dress
{Mod Cloth Layer Cake Dress – $69.99}

So sweet and could go from day to night easily. Tiered dresses often result in a loss of a defined waist, but the black band takes care of that.

{TopShop Sequined Bolero – $110}

If you read {iStyle} or kept track of the collections you would know why I shouldn’t have to convince you to buy this one!

These should all transition into fall, so jump on them now!
